Wedding Night Lingerie: Things to Look Out For

Choosing your wedding night lingerie could be a bit confusing; this is because you are trying to please two people at once. Generally, lingerie should first be about you, then the man in your life. But when it comes to the wedding night lingerie, a new bride can’t help placing the focus on her new husband and that’s not a bad thing. The look in his eyes when you peel the layers to reveal the lingerie… it’s worth that focus.

Nevertheless, your wedding night lingerie needs to be what you feel comfortable and confident wearing because there is very little that is appealing about lack of confidence because you are uncomfortable. So how do you make your new husband’s eyes smoke over at the sight of you in that lingerie without compromising on comfort?

Take your man’s taste into consideration. Some men are turned on by the illusion of chasteness. If your man is one of those, it would be counterproductive to get something that is so obviously risqué.

Think Comfort. Since you are the one who would be wearing the lingerie, it is important that you pick something that you do not feel self conscious wearing like a nice chemise or camisole. This does not mean that you can’t step out of your comfort zone for your man, but if you are going to do that, then practice wearing the lingerie days before the wedding until you get comfortable in it.

Feel Comfortable. This is not about being self conscious but more about wearing something that feels soft and comfortable against your skin. Don’t pick lingerie that is uncomfortably tight. You also need to consider if you are going to wear the lingerie under your wedding gown. This has it’s issues because the wedding could last for several hours and your lingerie might then become sweaty and smelling unless of course you are using an organic fabric like natural bamboo. In which case, you can wear the lingerie under your wedding gown and still look and smell fabulous on the wedding night.

Schedule time for lingerie shopping and try before buying. When planning a wedding it is almost like there are a million things to do at once and lingerie buying is often procrastinated until it gets pushed to the back burners. Therefore it is important to actually schedule time to buy your wedding night lingerie. If you are going to a physical shop, make sure you try out the lingerie first before buying. When buying online however, this could be a bit tricky. The answer to that would be to purchase handmade lingerie which can be adjusted to fit you.

Take time to carefully pick your wedding night lingerie because what is a wedding night without lingerie?

Sweet Dreams with Beautiful Negligees

To own a piece of lingerie is to own a piece of luxury and nothing makes a woman feel as luxurious as when she wears a delightfully and beautifully sheer negligee to sleep. Sleep is often taken for granted and seen as another one of the cursory functions of the body. However, if you have ever spent a night without sleep, because you've been too uncomfortable or restless to sleep, no doubt you’d appreciate the value of good sleep.

One of the tricks to getting a good night’s rest is comfort; it is really very hard to sleep when one is uncomfortable. In addition to making sure that your environment is conducive to sleep – by keeping the lights dim, regulating the temperature until it’s just right – what you wear to sleep is also very important. Comfortable sleepwear goes a long way to aid a good night’s sleep.

The negligee has become a popular sleepwear among many women because of the comfortable feeling it evokes in the wearer. Beyond comfort however, a negligee brings out the sensuality in a woman, making her feel beautiful. There are many reasons why the negligee has remained so popular over the years.

If your negligee is made from the right fabric, it embraces the body in a way that soothes and caresses you to sleep. There are not many fabrics that can produce that effect however and silk is at the top of the list. However, owning silk lingerie is definitely an investment which a lot of women can’t afford. An excellent alternative, which is as sheer and as soft as silk but is much less expensive, is bamboo fabric.

There is a reason why bamboo fabric is gaining fame among lingerie designers. Although the fabric is as sheer as silk, it is even more breathable than cotton, making it the perfect choice for a negligee. Because of the breathability of the fabric, it is suitable for either hot or cold climates.

Bamboo fabric is one of the top organic fabrics in the market as neither pesticides nor herbicides were used in growing the bamboo. This is because bamboo naturally contains antibacterial and antifungal properties that make the use of chemicals unnecessary. The great thing about bamboo fabric is that it retains these antibacterial and antifungal properties even after several washes.

To get the best out of your negligee, look for handmade negligees that are custom made to fit your unique physical structure. Handmade negligees from bamboo fabric are the final word in affordable, organic luxury.

Lingerie is Only for Special Occasions

Lingerie is a piece of your wardrobe that you only reserve for special occasions, like your honeymoon or your wedding anniversary night. It should not be worn for any reason at all. Yes, I know. It sounds funny reading that line and as funny as it is, it is also sad because there are some out there who honestly believe that lingerie is something that should only be worn on very rare occasions.

The problem, I believe has to do with their conception of lingerie. For so many women out there, lingerie is a piece of undergarments to be worn for the sake of the man in their lives. While there is that, the real reason for owning and wearing a piece of lingerie is for you and you alone, which is why your choice of lingerie is very important.

Beautiful, well-made lingerie has the effect of enhancing a woman's self esteem, giving her a fresh way of seeing herself. With the right lingerie, a woman looks into the mirror and thinks "I'm beautiful." And that is the purpose of lingerie.

When buying lingerie, the temptation to think about what is 'sexy' instead of what is comfortable can be a huge problem. The absolute truth is that ‘sexiness’ is not about what you wear or how you look; it is about how you feel about yourself. Therefore your lingerie has to focus on comfort and on you. Lingerie should fit your body and not the other way around.

When picking your lingerie, I have two words for you; organic and handmade. The combination of these often produces the last word in luxury and comfort. One organic fabric that is becoming increasingly popular in lingerie making is natural bamboo fabric. It is as sheer and soft as silk but even more breathable than cotton. Its absorbent rate is simply amazing so that any moisture on your body is quickly absorbed and evaporated. What's not to like?

When your lingerie is handmade from Eco-friendly bamboo fabric, you get comfortable lingerie that can be tailored to fit you. There's no longer any need to simply make-do with what is available in the stores. Now you can have lingerie that flatters your figure and makes you feel confident. Handmade lingerie from natural bamboo fabric; that's what lingerie is all about.
