BLOOMING OF THE LOLLIPOP LADIES

It seems like women's boobs just keep getting bigger, as the old 12B
 as a standard size
has been replaced with a 14C and growing with some Uk reports suggesting
12F is becoming the new base size.

As a bra- obsessed designer, in September last year I flew over the
University of Melbourne
to  join a small group of specialist to learn from a UK specialist about
PLUS SIZE BRA design up to a, wait, yes a K cup.
Yep, for those of you already gasping it is actually possible to buy up to
a NN cup in stores in Europe.  The trend that I found the most interesting
was that of what I'm calling
" LOLLIPOP LADIES", girls and women with tiny back sizes of
 6-12 with massive boobs.
Is it all the chicken hormones we are eating or what?

Experts claim the increase is due to changing body shapes due
 to diet and lifestyle changes.
(like sitting in our car munching lunch on the way to an appointment),
and the rise in popularity of
cosmetic surgery created by bigger-busted celebrities such as
Kelly Brook and Jordan.
And of course plastic surgery is becoming more popular,
but in my work I am seeing girls as young as 13 having
to be fit in size 6 and 8 G and H cups,
and  hiding them under
baggy shirts to hide their blooming sexuality.

Some of the increase has undoubtedly been due to poor bust
 measuring techniques in the past.
Results show that many women are often between
one and two cup sizes
larger and smaller in the band width than they realize.
This is because most of your support should come
from the band around your body, with the wire then following
the crease or bulge of the breast shape, which can mean a bigger
 cup shape is needed.
This avoids the wire sitting on the bust tissue or riding up and
 squeezing onto the bust itself,
and importantly it stops you spilling over the top and getting the
"double boob" look.
Not a good in a tight tee.
Generally too, the weight women carry is further down on her
waist and hips,
 not around her chest.

With a selection of bras for large cup sizes slowly
becoming available,
it's hard to believe that it's still tricky to find well-fitting pretty bras
for small backs and large cups that aren't akin
to parachute harnesses and aren't padded.
All most big busted women want is support specifically
designed for a large cup, that aren't composed of so
much fabric that you could carry your shopping home
in the cups in an emergency!

Designers are now realizing they have to develop entirely
 new bra designs
which are strong enough to cope with fuller busts.
Always make sure you are professionally fit, it saves
 so much heartache
( boob ache, back ache) in the end.
Make sure you try your favorite fitted top or stretchy tee over
each bra you fit to ensure the shape is
what you want, not too pointy, or "east-west"
point each index finger right now east and west
 and you'll get my meaning.
A properly fitting bra can make you look a dress size
 or 3 smaller too,
 I guarantee that.
As it will lift your breast into the correct position so they don't hang
too low or flatten  out to the sides of your body
making you appear wider.

Finally, don't be scared of the numbers and letters.
It's important to realize that an F cup
for example is not always bigger than an E or DD cup.
In fact, a bra's cup size is dependent on the band size -
so a 10F holds the same
volume as a 12E, it just the back/bust proportion is
differently shaped.
And remember no one sees your bra size but you!

DO YOUR UNDIES LOOK LIKE THESE?

Now, lets be honest here, if I were to come and inspect your underwear draw what would I find?
Lovely neatly packed knickers that would make the Napisan advert proud of you, no holes, torn elastic, or split seams, or would I find a mixed array of grey looking knickers, looking much like this photo below?

Almost everything we buy today is " MADE IN CHINA" even these bamboo knickers I bought have been mass produced in China.  In most cases the results of mass production end up with our purchases not lasting very long, not withstanding the washing machine, or general wear without the item splitting, coming apart at the seams, elastics breaking and my very worst is overlocking unraveling and fabric fraying as a result.
Often in mass production a floss is used to overlock and if not floss  neither a very good quality cotton which results in stitches breaking and holes forming in our clothing.

I don't know about you but I find this not only disheartening when something I have bought has a short life span but also when workmanship is of poor quality and the people who work their fingers to the bone for pittance.

How many of us find our knickers after a few washes ending up like this?

This is one of the main reasons many of us are turning more and more to purchasing "handmade" we may end up paying more, but at least the life span is longer and the quality is a million times better.
The old saying " You get what you pay for " is never truer.

When our children are growing at a rate of knots and we can't keep them in decent fitting clothes fast enough  to keep up with their growth, well then cheap and made in China is a good option, we become one of the buy and dispose of  crowd standing in the warehouse queues. It doesn't matter if they tear, split, become soiled and stained, they were cheap, on sale and we just go and purchase more;  however as woman we deserve better than what the our now " disposable nation" has become and has to offer.

Good quality, well made, custom fit Lingerie that lasts more than one season, and still looks good after a couple of years.  The kind of Lingerie that should I come and play Gok and raid your knicker draw you would be proud.

So, lets begin to all support handmade more, indulge in luxury that doesn't cost the earth, maybe a wee bit more than Postie Plus, however far better quality leaving us feeling luxurious and deserving.

THE IMPORTANCE OF WEARING THE RIGHT KNICKERS.

We have all heard it before from our doctors, health specialists, we have read it in books.
ALWAYS WEAR COTTON PANTIES AND NOT NYLON.
BAMBOO FAR SURPASSES COTTON in many aspects and has far more health benefits.

For many of us woman, including myself we have all suffered the dreaded fungal infections, cystitis, and may have issues with candida. Thus the importance of wearing panties that are healthy for you and help prevent you from these infections reoccurring.

BAMBOO is antibacterial, absorbs moisture, keeping you dry and odorless and is hypoallergenic making it the perfect fabric for our everyday pantie.

I have made these lovely woman's box short panties that have a double gusset in the shape of a pantie liner and big enough for a pantie liner to sit comfortably on for those menstruating days and those days "in-between" keeping your fresh, cool, comfortable and healthy aiding in being fungal and cystitis free.

These comfy panties come in packs of three, beautifully trimmed and in all sizes ranging from small to extra large. I am happy to make bigger sizes but would need you to contact me with your measurements.

It doesn't matter what size we are, we all need to be conscious of being healthy, clean and odorless "down there" Bamboo also has the property of keeping you 2 degrees cooler in the summer making for the  perfect pantie on those days when it is hot and we feel sweaty.

This is not something we should even need to think about, or consider, it is a must, a necessity to invest in underwear that  aids in keeping us healthy as woman.

Types of Organic Clothing

As the world has become more environmentally conscious, fashion has not been left behind. The word organic is usually bandied about not just when it comes to food and beauty products, but also in the world of fashion as more designers incorporate organic fabrics into their haute couture designs. Organic clothing is apparel made from organic fabrics, that is fabrics that are natural and eco friendly, without the use of any chemicals or toxic materials, from their growth to their finished state.
Alpaca Fabric
This is gotten from the Alpaca, a small Llama-like animal from the Camelid family. The fleece of this animal is used to make what is known as organic alpaca yarn. This yarn is usually preferred to either wool or cashmere for a variety of reasons. Clothing made with alpaca yarn is usually warm without the heavy feeling associated with wool. It is durable and has a silkier feel. Alpaca fabric is used for sweaters, duvets and other warm clothing.
Organic Cotton
Cotton is a natural fabric but the mistake a lot of people make is in assuming that natural automatically translates to organic because while cotton might be natural, not all cotton is organic. In fact, cotton is one plant that requires a lot of chemicals to cultivate treat and manufacture. This is because it is heavily susceptible to pests, fungal and bacterial infections. Organic cotton on the other hand, is cotton that is grown naturally without the use of any chemicals and is manufactured the same way. It is great for all kinds of clothing including lingerie but is frightfully expensive because of the trouble that has gone into the creation of this organic fabric.
Organic Hemp Fabrics
Hemp fabric is a recent development and has not been around for a lot of years. If you are searching for clothing that is made from organic fabric, look for clothing made from hemp fabrics as they are purely organic from cultivation to manufacturing of the textile. This fabric is usually used for knitwear and other warm fabrics and is really comfortable on the skin. Their natural ability to offer protection from UV rays makes them an ideal choice for summer wear.
Natural Bamboo Fabrics
When you get your hands on clothing made from natural bamboo fabric, you are getting hold of a pure organic fabric and one of the most sought after fabrics in the organic fashion industry. This fabric is made from the bamboo plant which is a highly organic plant. Unlike the cotton plant, bamboo does not require any chemicals during cultivation because it is not disturbed by pests and bacteria. In fact, bamboo is known for its antifungal and antibacterial properties which are present even in the finished bamboo clothing. The fabric is light and airy and is as sheer as silk. Its advantage over silk is the price; bamboo does not take as much time to grow as the silk worm and so is really affordable for an organic fabric. It is perfect for lingerie and underwear and has a great absorbent rate.
Organic clothing is usually more expensive than other clothing made from non organic fabric. However there are some which are more affordable than others and natural bamboo fabric is one of those.  (Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/6340809)
